Newzroom Afrika Interview: Coalition urges maternal grant to close income gap for pregnant women in poverty

The Maternal Support Grant Advocacy Coalition made oral submissions to the South African Human Rights Commission during its national investigative hearing into food systems. The coalition highlighted a critical gap, the lack of income support for pregnant women living in poverty, and is calling for the introduction of a Maternal Support Grant.
