South Africa is trapped by extreme inequalities of wealth, health and social status, and many people feel despair. Our aim is to change the prospects of children and young people, putting them on a fundamentally different trajectory from that of their parents and grandparents. Trying to change life trajectories is ambitious and profound. It requires us to radically influence the lives of individuals and to be part of changing the circumstances in which they live.
